The Christmas period brought lots of festivities and fun to Hartwig Care!
On the 10th of December we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day🎅 We encouraged all care workers and office staff to get involved with this to spread the Christmas Spirit and raise money for Save The Children☃️ Not only did we have some lovely prizes for our winner and runner up, but we also had some festive treats for our office and care staff🎄
Next we had our Amazon Christmas Giveaway. A £50 voucher that was up for grabs to any client, colleague or social media community member. All they had to do was follow, like and comment on our post.
When buying our Christmas tree we made sure do so locally. When you reduce shipping and storage, you also reduce emissions and energy usage♻️ Not only this, but sourcing locally also means you’re uplifting local revenue and putting more money back into the community🏘️ So we bought from Second Time Around in Camden.
But now the Christmas period has drawn to an close, we’ve ensured to rid of our tree ethically and sustainably♻️ We took ours to a dedicated recycling ground at Hampstead Heath. Here the trees are left to decompose, this compost can then be used as weed suppressant for the gardens and other public areas🌱
